Book Review-Private India

Title- Private India
Author- Ashwin Sanghi & James Patterson
Publisher- Cornerstone (a division of Random House, UK)
Genre- Suspense Thriller

The Blurb- When a series of seemingly unconnected murders rock the city of Mumbai with the macabre rituals and artefacts found around the corpses, Private India, a leading investigation agency takes the case. Santosh Wagh, the head of the organization, has only one mission. He needs to stop the killers before they strike again. However, in a city of over 13 million people, he finds that the clock is ticking too fast. He finds himself pitted against underworld dons and a Godman who isn't what he seems. However, the worst is yet to come and Private India itself may be threatened with a revelation that could destroy the entire organization.

The Swift Summary- One fine night a murder in a five star hotel is reported in Mumbai. The murderer has left the corpse in a completely confusing way with some symbols and Viking helmet tied around the hands and legs. With this the organization Private takes over the case with the deal with Mumbai police to share every detail with them about the murdered and murder. But as the murder mystery remains unsolved some more action happens in the city and a series of killing happens. The head of Private Santosh Wagh, has to solve this case before any big catastrophe happens.
Are these murders related? If yes, who is behind them? Will Santosh Wagh and his team ever be able to find who is behind these murders? Or is something bigger waiting for them?
Read on this nail biting novel to get the answers.

My View- The genre is Suspense, Thriller. The book is definitely a page turner. It keeps you engrossed till the last page. The way the murders are happening, the vivid description of corpse, the crime scene is not only interesting but also creates a curiosity in the readers mind. The reader becomes the Sherlock Holmes and tries solving the case.
The story is set up in Mumbai a right place for the plot as the city is famous for lot of actions in and around. The description of places is lively and detailed.

Though somewhere I was not able to relate and understand with the anti-climax
of the story i.e. Harish's action was not clearly explained in the book.

The cover of the book is similar to the other Private series which show glimpses of the city in which Private is working. In this case it is Mumbai.
